We’re keepin’ folk music alive in Erie, PA...The best place in the world to live!
- We are The Misery Bay Dulcimer Club of Erie, Pennsylvania, located in the farthest northwest corner of the state.
- We were founded in March of 1990 for the purpose of learning, performing, teaching and enjoying the Appalacian Mountain Dulcimer.
- LEARNING - We travel to dulcimer festivals and we bring nationally renown dulcimer artists to our area for performances and workshops.
- PERFORMING - We’ve played over 300 concerts ~ including nursing homes, hospitals, schools, members’ churches and at community events.
- TEACHING - Every year in April, May and June, we teach an adult beginner mountain dulcimer class for 10 Thursday evenings at Asbury Woods Nature Center.
- ENJOYING - Our club members not only enjoy playing the dulcimer together, but we’ve formed life-long friendships.
- We are accepting new club members of all levels.
